You'll get picked up from the airport and head to your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter. The rest of the day is yours to recover from the flight and take things easy. Most people grab dinner nearby and get settled in.

Overnight in Hanoi

Leave early morning for Ha Long Bay and spend 3 days and 2 nights on the water. You'll cruise through emerald waters on a traditional junk boat, seeing towering limestone islands. Kayaking is included to explore the bay up close, and you'll sleep on the boat under the stars.

This morning head to Luon Cave on Bo Hon Island by small boat or kayak (the 60-meter cave entrance changes height between 2.5 and 4 meters depending on the tide). Take a speedboat to Gia Luan harbor on Cat Ba Island, then a 30km car drive to your hotel. Visit Cat Ba National Park and Trung Trang Cave later in the day.

MORNING | INTO THE NATIONAL PARK

Your guide meets you at your hotel in Dong Hoi or Phong Nha. The drive into the national park is scenic but relaxed—no rush, no unnecessary stops.

On arrival, a short electric cart ride brings you closer to the forest edge. From there, a gentle uphill walk leads to the cave entrance.

LATE MORNING | PARADISE CAVE

Step inside a space that feels almost architectural in scale. A wooden walkway carries you through the first kilometer of the cave, revealing formations shaped over millions of years.

There’s no need to hurry here—the experience is about absorbing the atmosphere, not ticking boxes.

MIDDAY | LUNCH BREAK

Lunch is served at a local restaurant near the river. Simple, fresh, and well-paced—enough time to rest without losing the rhythm of the day.

AFTERNOON | PHONG NHA CAVE BY BOAT

The afternoon shifts completely in mood. You board a traditional boat and cruise along the Son River toward the cave entrance.

Instead of walking in, you enter directly by water, drifting into a quiet, cathedral-like space. Part of the visit continues on foot, but the highlight is the calm, immersive boat journey inside the cave.

LATE AFTERNOON | RETURN

After the visit, return by road to your hotel. Arrival is typically mid to late afternoon, leaving your evening free.

Pick up from your hotel in Phong Nha and transfer to Tan Hoa Village (approx. 90 minutes).

09:30 – Safety Briefing
Arrive at the operations center for a full safety briefing. Receive trekking gear including helmet and headlamp.

10:00 – Start Trekking
Begin your trek through scenic farmland and jungle trails, crossing streams and rocky paths toward the Tu Lan cave system.

Hang Tien Cave Exploration
Reach Hang Tien Cave, one of the largest and most impressive caves in the area. Explore its vast chambers, featuring towering ceilings, massive stalactites, and unique rock formations.

Continue deeper into the cave to admire the iconic layered formations that resemble rice terraces.

Picnic Lunch
Enjoy a well-earned picnic lunch surrounded by nature, either inside the cave or near a river.

Afternoon Trek
Continue trekking through valleys and forest paths, with time for photos and short rest stops along the way.

16:30 – Return to Tan Hoa
Finish the trek and return to the operations center.

17:30 – Transfer Back
Transfer back to your hotel in Phong Nha.

Check out from your hotel and take a drive to Dong Hoi airport. You'll catch a 1-hour flight south to Ho Chi Minh City, heading into the final part of your Vietnam journey.
