Day 1: Ho Chi Minh
You'll land at Tan Son Nhat International Airport and head to your hotel in District 1. Check-in happens from 2:00 PM onward, so there's time to grab lunch or rest after your flight.
The afternoon and evening are yours to settle in and explore the neighborhood at whatever pace feels right.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City - 14-Day Insight Vietnam Local Tour
Day 2: Cu Chi Tunnels
An early pickup between 7:30 and 8:00 AM starts your day before heading out on a bus for about an hour and a half to Cu Chi.
You'll watch a video about the tunnel systems first, then walk through the actual tunnels to see living quarters, kitchens, bedrooms, weapon production areas, hospitals, and command centers. Hidden trap doors and security traps show how soldiers protected themselves. You get to try special tea and cassava, and there's an option to do some target shooting.
The drive back to Saigon takes you back by 2:00 or 2:30 PM.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh - Mekong Delta
After breakfast, you'll travel from Saigon toward the Mekong Delta with your guide and driver heading to Cai Be.
Once there, a private boat takes you along the river through canals lined with fruit orchards where you'll see how locals actually live. You'll stop at craft workshops and Phu Chau Pagoda, plus take a village tour. Lunch features the famous elephant ear fish.
Later in the afternoon, you'll row through shaded canals and pick seasonal fruits along the way.

Day 4: Can Tho - Cai Rang Floating Market - Da Nang
Breakfast comes first at your hotel before boarding a motorboat at 8:00 AM to see Cai Rang Floating Market on the Mekong River. The trading activity there is busy and energetic, and you'll have traditional Hu Tieu rice noodles while noticing the strong smell of durian around you.
After the market, you'll head to Ninh Kieu Pier for lunch and then get transferred to Can Tho Airport. A one hour and thirty minute flight takes you to Da Nang, and from there it's a transfer to your hotel in Hoi An. You'll check in and have time to take in the peaceful feeling of the old town.

Day 5: Hoi An
A 9:00 AM pickup gets you started for a walk through the water-coconut forest where you'll see a basket boat performance and hear traditional Hoi An folk songs.
You'll go out on a fishing tour with local fishermen to understand their daily routine, and meals happen right on the boat. Then comes a cooking class on the water where you'll learn and actually prepare Vietnamese dishes, eating what you cook with your travel group.
After returning to the hotel, you'll have the rest of the day to rest and relax.

Day 6: Hoi An
This day is completely open for you to do what interests you. Wander through the old town or rent a bike to reach the beach if you'd like. There's shopping, local food to try, and cafes for coffee throughout the day. No planned activities means you move at your own rhythm.

Day 7: Hoi An - Hue
Morning brings a drive heading toward Hue as you travel through Hai Van Pass. Several stops break up the journey at Marble Mountain, My Khe Beach, Lang Co Beach, and Lap An Lagoon, all good spots for photos. You'll reach your Hue hotel with time to check in and rest before evening.

Day 8: Hue
At 8:00 AM you'll board a dragon boat for a 30-minute ride to Thien Mu Pagoda, Hue's oldest pagoda, with fresh river breezes from the Perfume River.
By 9:30 AM the Citadel opens up to you, the Imperial City built by the Nguyen Dynasty and Vietnam's last royal family. You'll walk through Dong Ba market, the busiest one in Hue selling all sorts of food and items.
Lunch at a local restaurant around noon has Western, Asian, and Vietnamese options.
At 1:30 PM you'll see Khai Dinh Tomb mixing Western and Eastern design, then at 3:00 PM move to Minh Mang Tomb, considered the finest royal tomb with its beautiful balance of architecture and nature.

Day 9: Hue - Hanoi
A transfer takes you to Hue Airport for a one-hour flight to Hanoi. When you land, you'll go straight to the Old Quarter, the well-kept ancient part of the city, and check into your hotel. From there you can explore the Old Quarter on your own, wandering the streets and checking out what interests you.

Day 10: Hanoi
You have three timing options for exploring Hanoi.
Morning tour runs from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM with lunch included.
Afternoon tour goes from 12:30 to 5:00 PM with lunch at the start.
Sunset and night tour happens from 5:00 to 9:30 PM with dinner at the end.
Whichever you pick, you'll see hidden backstreets, alleyways, local homes, schools, and busy markets. Key spots include Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, old temples like Tran Vu, the calm Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi Opera House, and the historic Long Bien Bridge.
You'll also go out to the city edges to see village life, and finish with a Jeep ride that covers Hanoi's history, culture, and food scene.

Day 11: Hanoi - Halong Bay
A car takes you toward Hai Phong, getting you there around 11:30 AM where you'll check into your cruise ship and get a welcome drink.
The afternoon has you exploring Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay with chances to kayak or swim at Ba Trai Dao Beach.
Evening brings happy hour and dinner right on the ship.

The drive back to Hanoi takes approximately three hours, and you'll arrive around midday.

Your driver will meet you at the hotel lobby to take you to Noi Bai Airport, a trip of about 45 minutes. Let them know if you need the international or domestic terminal.
